Bandipur

After our brake pipe repair job, we considered whether we want to take the very curvy road 600 meter uphill to Bandipur.

The beautiful drive to the former trade dominated mountain-oasis then let us forget any brake problems and we took a room in the beautiful "Old Inn" which is located on the old Main Street. The old house with its excellent wood carvings, antique furniture and a roof terrace with stunning views is really a delight and we enjoyed our short stay here.

A walk through the ancient streets which are not yet occupied by souvenir shops is very advised and the views from this hill station are terrific on all sides even if we were not catch a glimpse of the distant Himalayas by due to heavy mist.

Pokhara

Pokhara is prised as a tourist highlight and promises its visitors a beautiful lake with tremendous views of the mountains around the Annapurna. And it is then almost ... The snow-covered mountains just outside the "door" are really breathtaking. You can see up to the 8000+m Annapurna I and the mountains seems just a minute away. Fantastic.

Gondolier "Romario"

We explore the lake in a small boat tour. Romario gondolier is paddling like hell and also sings here and there a little serenade. Priti is so impressed by the song (negative) that she refused any help in paddling. "No problem for me," until I noticed that the current is against me on the way back and I had to do some hard work to bring the Titanic back safely. :)

Roman Punk

The hotels gardener did not really enjoy the tuft of hair in his driveway and I am also a little bit concerned. Priti, self proclaimed hair stylist and queen of the new razor is working on my hair, and creates a hairstyle which earns the title "Absolutely Wicked" :)

Yeah, I now look 10 years younger ... probably :) "ABSOLUTELY COOL" ;)
